The Save a Cup scheme was established by the vending, food service and plastics industries to collect the millions of hard-wall polystyrene cups used in the UK every week. The scheme is administered by the Save a Cup Recycling Company.

With more than a billion cups collected so far for recycling, the company's objective is to increase the number of cups collected in line with Government targets for recycling packaging waste.

All of London Vending's machines are fitted with an inbuilt power-saving facility which can reduce power consumption by up to 30%. The innovative and programmable features reduce the boiler temperature during inactive periods over weekends or out of normal working hours. The power saving mode also helps reduce scale build-up within the boiler thereby increasing boiler efficiency.
